This is my first blog post ever.
I am starting this because I want to be able to review books that I read in a place that I felt comfortable doing so. I’m an avid reader of romance and I wanted to share my thoughts on the books that I read as well as the writers who write them. I love crime and suspense as well, so I look forward to reading more of this and reviewing the books.
This is the first book I’ve read by Winter Renshaw, and I really enjoyed it. The characters are well developed and original. A principal and one of his students have a connection after they meet through a dating app. This is the only modern connection they have, their real connection is sex and great literature. Literature is what starts their relationship and it ends up being the catalyst to get them back together. The literary love of these characters drew me in. The fact that they were young and yet could connect based on great literature and not from the modern day materialistic views that are so normal was very original. I love that “Absinthe” and “Kerouac” were able to get their HEA as well.
I look forward to reading more of Winter’s books in the future. Winter’s character development is very detailed and the story was very well written.
Wow! The first thought that comes to my mind at the end of this book. I loved this book. Sue does a great job with her characters and the plot. I loved the detailed information about crows in this book as well. I found this book to be a gripping story and I wanted to read it in one sitting, but unfortunately, life and work got in the way. I hated to put it down and go to bed at night. Sue’s characters are so well written that I can find someone that I know who might be just like them and it makes them that much more real. I love the friendship between Nadine and Shawnee, the fact that they are different personalities makes their friendship so much more entertaining. I love that Sue added some Boston dialect in the book too.
Great story, and characters. I love Sue’s books and I have only just started reading her work, but will be filling my library with her books as soon as I can. This is a 5-star book in my opinion. Thank you for sharing your wonderful story telling talent Sue!
A story about time travel, vampires, and the strength of family. The way that a family is brought together from troubles and trials of life. The way that people come together to help each other and fight for each other as a family, even if they aren’t related by blood shows the strength of these characters.
There were a few twists and turns in the book that were surprising. This story kept me turning the pages and wanting to read more even after the end of the book. I really liked this book. It’s the first book I’ve read in the series, but it wasn’t hard to follow the story. I’ll have to get the other books in the series to catch up with the rest of the series. Neven, London, and Remi are great characters and have a great chemistry. They work well together and they’re stronger as a unit of three. I look forward to reading more of this series as well as other books by Tracy Cooper-Posey.
Kyle, a Navy SEAL and an ex-pro football player. Sara, a cheerleader for a professional football team. These two meet in a bar and don’t tell each other who they really are, but they spend one great night together. They run into each other again several months later in Afghanistan and find out the truth about what each other really does for a living. Is destiny real? Can Kyle really have a life with Sara even though he’s on the Teams? These are questions that Kyle asks himself. He wants to have a life with Sara, but there are so many marriages that haven’t made it with Team members.
Kyle realizes his feelings for Sara when she’s kidnapped by terrorists in Afghanistan and his team is called up for the rescue mission. He finds himself in a situation where he wants to go rogue to find her and he also wants to follow his commanders orders to wait for word on where they might be. His loyalty to his commander wins out and it also pays off because they are given the location of where the hostages were last seen. Kyle and his Team land close to the location and end up finding Sara after they find Maya, her best-friend who has escaped the captors with Sara’s help. If you enjoy a love story with suspense and great alpha hero’s, then you will enjoy reading Alana’s Trident Code Series.
A story of a girl on the run from an ex, who accused her of arson and theft and a Hotshot who wants her and protects her. I enjoyed this book and the characters in it were strong and well developed. I liked Pick and Sarah Jo’s chemistry and their strength as individuals made the book interesting. It’s always hard for a strong woman to give in to a strong man, for fear of losing herself along the way. The fact that Sarah Jo had to finally realize that Pick was not trying to take away her independence, but that he was trying to add to her life showed a different strength for her. She found that giving into Pick and deciding to stay with him was not giving up her independence, but adding to her strength as a woman.
If you like a story with a strong heroine and hero who find each other and make a great couple, then this is the book to read. Pick is an Alph male who can downplay it when it comes to the woman he finds that he wants to spend the rest of his life with.
I was a little leary in the beginning of this book because of the way Summer was acting. However, I really enjoyed the book once Summer met Tyler. Summer’s kindness and her good side came out when she met Tyler, Faith, and Thomas. This book was a pleasant surprise. I liked how Summer changed and became the real her. This is a story of how the right people can help you find your true self and true love.
Maddox is forced to join the Marines to stay away from Avery, and he does it reluctantly when he believes that Avery will hate him for his past troubles. He became a great Marine despite to wanting to enlist. He leaves the Marines due to a leg injury and this brings him back into Avery’s life seven years later. The biggest hurdle is Avery’s conniving, over bearing parents. Maddox is the perfect person to help Avery find her own life and HEA away from her parents. Maddox has to overcome his thoughts and feelings that he is out of Avery’s league and that he is the right man for her.
This was a great read! A second chance romance with a great love story. Avery and Maddox have a lot of hurdles to overcome before they finally get their HEA. If you’re looking for a bad boy story and second chance romances this is the read for you.
